Founded in 1999, in Windsor, California, the Windsor Arts Council is a non-profit organization that promotes the arts and fosters cultural enrichment on behalf of its members and the local community.
Together with the Town of Windsor and the Windsor Historical Society, we opened our permanent home at the restored historical Hembree House Cultural Center in 2009. The Center serves as an art gallery for the Windsor Arts Council, providing exhibit space for art shows as well as a venue for art-related events and activities. Painters, sculptors, photographers, mixed media artists, quilters, art students and other creative artists are encouraged to join. For examples of our members’ work, please click on the names of any listed artists for a personal selection of their art. Biographies and art descriptions as well as contact details are included in their links. See our Applications link for further details on membership and dues.
The Hembree House Cultural Center is located at 9225 Foxwood Drive, Windsor California and is open from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The telephone number at the Hembree House is (707) 838-4613. The Windsor Arts Council arranges new, themed and juried shows for its members every three months.
